Is this program only for 5th graders?

Yes, at this time we are only focusing on 5th grade students.

Which schools participate in Tomorrow’s Leaders?

At this time we are only mentoring at Carmona Harrison Elementary in Lubbock, TX. We hope to expand to other schools within the Lubbock Independent School District in the near future.

How can my student participate in this program?

If your student is attending Carmona Harrison Elementary and is a 5th grade student then they are eligible to participate. Please contact us so we can get your information.

Are mentors allowed to take students off campus?

No, all mentoring sessions will take place on campus during the student’s lunch hour. The only on campus events will consist of official Tomorrow’s Leaders events that take place on Saturday’s throughout the school year.

Are mentors required to take a background check?

Yes! Background checks are required before any mentor can set foot on campus. We partner with LISD for our background checks.

Do parents have to pay for their child to be apart of this program?

There is no cost to the parent or the child to be apart of this program. All expenses are paid for through grants and donations.

Are you a 501(c) (3) non profit organization?

Yes we are a tax exempt non profit organization with 501 (c) (3) status.
